Hallie is 2!

I can't believe that 2 years have gone by already...Is it really possible? My sweet little baby is showing more and more signs that I can't call her that anymore...basically potty trained, fewer fat rolls, longer hair, and an opinion on everything. I will miss the baby days with my little Hallie but I love the conversations and FUN that come with a toddler. Hallie- You are already so bright and you have such a fun and sweet little personality (yes-sometimes some attitude too)! You have been our constant joy for the last two years (and Miss Harper Grace now too)! We love you so much and can't wait to see all that God has in store for you! You are one special little girl! Happy Birthday baby! Daddy and I love you more than words!

Some pictures around the house...

Hallie helped me make brownies while Harper just hung out! Also...Daddy enjoyed some couch time with his girls! We are also starting the potty training full force...Hallie has been going on the potty for quite some time now...just not consistently!

Play day!!

Hallie and Landon went to the church play date on Friday and then went to Lisa's (aka Great Grandma's house) to lay down for their naps! (Lisa let me run an errand!) We took these pictures right after they had woken up! They were so cute!

FUNNY STORY!

We had small group the other night and we lay Hallie down for bed while we are there. We do this every time...it is very routine. However...this time when I went to get Hallie to take her out to the car I noticed that her diaper was on the floor! UGH!! She had unzipped her jammies, taken off her diaper and crawled back into bed. She was sleeping on Jake and Sarah's bed and had wet on their comforter. I was mortified! They of course were gracious...they have 3 little ones! So, Hallie ended up in Trevor's camouflage jammies! She loved them...she asked to wear them the next day! She kept saying, "Trevors...Hallie wear?" It was too cute. I still have no idea why she took her diaper off!

The girls...

Hallie is such a good BIG sister. She loves playing mommy and has even started nursing her babies (much to Jon's dismay)! I think it is precious though! She is learning to be gentle and loves to cuddle up next to Harper! I think they are going to be best buds!

Hallie's First Snowman

Hallie spent Sunday afternoon out in the snow with Papa, Allie and Sara. She went sledding and built a HUGE snowman! Mimi told me that she was a little afraid of the sled at first but did better when Sara and Allie went with her! Hallie had so much fun and told me all about it when she got home!

Hallie's First Snowman!

More from their 1st meeting...

Catching up...

Here are the pictures of Hallie and Harper meeting for the first time. Hallie could only look through the window at the hospital...it was so hard to see...she kept saying, "HOLD HER, HOLD HER!" Hallie finally got to hold Harper when we picked her up at MiMi and PaPa Vanders! I finally got these pictures from my Dad's camera...there are some other random Harper pics!

An update on Miss Harper Grace..

WOW!! Miss Harper is growing like a weed! We took her in for her one week weight check and she was already up to 8lbs 6oz! The nurse made me put her on the scale 4 times...she thought something was wrong with the scale! HA! We went back for her two week well child check...she was 9lbs 2oz and 20.75 inches! Doctor Wadel said she is doing great!

Harper is sleeping okay. Her typical night now is usually 3-4 hour spurts of sleep! She did get me up every hour and a half the other night...that was rough...especially when you have a toddler up at 8 the next day!

She is sooo sweet. She is very laid back and EASY! I am so thankful for little Harper!

Year End update!

Of course the highlight to the end of 2009 was the birth of Harper Grace...It was truly the BEST ending we could ask for. I do want to end the year with some Hallie'isms'! She continues to be such a light in our lives!

-Instead of saying yes she says “Yups” – it is really cute!

-She likes to “snuggie” for snuggling!

-She likes things that are individual….for example she loves the fact that she has her own chair.

- She loves to pretend cook. She makes noodles all the time!

-She loves to play in the snow with Daddy.

-She is obsessed with the tractor at our townhome that removes snow.

-She repeats herself all the time.

-She sings with her songs now but you can only make out the last word to every phrase.

-She knows when we get to certain land marks that we are going to “MIMI’s HOUSE!” She repeats it over and over until we get there!

-She is getting really good about picking up her toys!

-She loves her bath crayons and bath finger paints!

-Her memory amazes me…she remembers everything!

-She loves stickers, play dough, and coloring. She likes crafty things!

-She currently hates going to the nursery at church…she cries every time we drop her off and IT KILLS ME!

-She wears size 2T clothing and is on the verge of 3T.

-Her shoe size is 6!

-She is 26 lbs and between the 25-50 percentile for both height and weight. Her head remains in the 90th percentile! (I did this online as she doesn’t go back to the doctor until the end of next month!

-She is sooo much fun! She can be a stinker from time to time but she responds well to consistent discipline!

-She loves making coffee with Daddy.

-She loves to help us with anything we are doing...she loves unloading the dishwasher and doing laundry...she loves pushing the buttons to start things!

-She is in love with little Harper...she loves doing everything for her. She does get a little jealous of the time mommy spends with Harper.

We had a great year in 2009...We are looking forward to 2010 and all that God has in store for us!
